THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE

With growing customer base and transactions bank wanted to upgrade current banking platform to Oracle system. Bank has huge and complex database which needs to be migrated to new system. Challenge is, this activity needs to be completed more accurately and should get executed in short time frame during go-live deployment stage. Also, knowledge of data migration strategy and different technology of databases is crucial. New system needs data with certain modifications to be accepted as input. Most important part of this activity involves highly sensitive and important data of bank and its customers, which is challenge for outsource to outside vendor.

THE SOLUTION

• Considering high sensitive banking data, GrassDew proposed Onsite Consultant model for this assignment which got approved by Bank as well.
• Closely working with bank’s team at bank’s office, software team from GrassDew started working as part of strategy and implementation of logic for data migration.
• Existing database migration logic was reworked to make the performance good and to give results in lesser time.
• Newly developed scripts with enhanced performance of data migration helped the bank to reduce Live deployment time frame which has direct impact to bank’s business.
• Daily status reporting was managed by GrassDew to deliver milestone wise deliverables.
