5 Keys Choosing Office 365 SharePoint Online

Number 13 has its own history of luck factor. In Italy, 13 is considered a lucky number. In USA and many other places the number 13 is considered an unlucky number. Away from this 13th year of any person, is the first year a person is considered a teenager. Interesting isn't it..!

Let's move on to number 14... which for me is Office 365..! Microsoft launched it with "Your go-to Office—anywhere". Office 365 provides many offerings but most importantly it provides SharePoint Online. I love this feature.

SharePoint Online delivers the powerful features of SharePoint without the associated overhead of managing the infrastructure on your own. Flexible management options ensure that you still retain the control you need to meet the compliance requirements of your organization. You can purchase SharePoint in the cloud as a standalone offering or as part of an Office 365 suite, where you can also get access to Exchange, OneDrive for Business, Skype for Business, the Office clients, and web apps.

1. Anywhere access

You need to stay productive wherever life takes you and now you can with the new SharePoint app (coming in Q2 of 2016). It’s like having your company’s intranet in your pocket giving you anywhere access to your team and organizational resources needed to get work done.

2. Seamless collaboration

Today’s SharePoint team site is your team’s content hub. It’s where everyone you work with both inside and outside your organization comes together in real time to get work done – creating and sharing content using the same, familiar Microsoft Office tools you use every day.

3. Intelligence and insights

The intelligence provided by Office Graph makes SharePoint completely unlike anything else out there. With the new SharePoint home (coming in Q2 of 2016) you can stay current with all the different teams and projects you’re working on via activity feeds and recommendations based on your associations to others and the content they’re working on.

4. Enterprise-grade security and compliance

Today, more than ever, enterprises need a scalable solution that meets security and compliance requirements while ensuring unified policies are applied across every workload and every device. SharePoint offers best-in-class security, with more than a decade of experience building enterprise software and online services. End users get the productivity they’ve been asking for while the IT department gets the cloud security and compliance requirements they require.

5. Reduces Cost

There's no upfront cost for software and it always stays up to date. Easily create team sites and portals to discover, share, and collaborate on content with colleagues inside and outside your organization from any device. You can choose subscription with proper planning of your need, it surely reduces lots of cost!
